TACHELES x WELTECHO | VERNISSAGE Ausstellung mit Shir Shoval-Simhoni

Im Rahmen unseres Programms TACHELES x WELTECHO im Jahr der jüdischen Kultur in Sachsen beschäftigen wir uns mit der Vielfalt der jüdischen Popkultur – von Bob Dylan über Amy Winehouse und Peaches bis hin zu Haim, P!nk und Drake.

Dazu passend stellen wir einen Monat lang die Kunst von Shir Shoval-Simhoni aus.

Artistic Statement

Shir Shoval-Simhoni’s practice investigates repetition as a material strategy and a conceptual framework for labor, productivity, and consumption. She works primarily through repetitive manual processes, using textile, silkscreen and relief printing, and collage. Her practice engages the dialectic between digital and material worlds in both form and content, appropriating historical archives, personal documents, and digital systems into her artwork.

Biography

Shir Shoval-Simhoni is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist working primarily with textile, printmaking, and collage. She holds a bachelor’s degree from King’s College London. Her work has been exhibited at Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Culterim Spaces, and Garagen Campus in Germany.
